Questions about official Osceola County criminal records belong with the office that created or maintains the record. The contacts below route court files to the Clerk of District Court, Sheriff reports and jail records to the Public Safety Building, and statewide criminal-history requests to Iowa DCI.

This Is Not a Government Office. This privately operated resource cannot retrieve official records, conduct an official check, correct or remove a record, or accept an expungement filing. Those services remain with the responsible Iowa or Osceola County agency.

Need an Official Record?

Use the custodian that matches the Osceola County record:

  • Arrest, incident, booking, and jail records: Osceola County Sheriff, 309 6th Street, Sibley, IA 51249; 712-754-2556; fax 712-754-2872
  • Court case files: use criminal court case records or contact the ground-floor Clerk of District Court, 300 7th Street, Sibley, IA 51249; 712-754-3595; fax 712-754-2480; weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Iowa criminal-history checks: contact the Iowa DPS Division of Criminal Investigation at 515-725-6066 or dcirecordchecks@dps.state.ia.us
  • Filed expungement matters: contact the Clerk of District Court for the court file; only qualifying records can use Iowa's statutory process
  • State custody or supervision records: use the Iowa Department of Corrections and Iowa Offender Search
  • Registry records: use the Iowa Sex Offender Registry; the Sheriff handles local registration questions

The Sheriff does not publish a separately named records division, dedicated records hours, or a local request form. Call 712-754-2556 before visiting 309 6th Street and ask which custodian holds the exact report, what identifiers to provide, and whether fees or identification apply.
